Welcome to my blog! I’m Julie Mills, General Music teacher and Choral Director at Patapsco Middle School in Howard County, Maryland. I’ve been a music teacher in the county for seven years.
I am a graduate of Mt. Hebron High
School and Salisbury University, where I majored in Music Education and Vocal Performance. I am currently finishing up my graduate degree in Music Education at Towson University with a thesis in vocal performance and have earned a graduate certificate in the Dalcroze, Orff, and Kodaly music teaching methodologies. This also marks my fourth season singing in the Columbia Pro Cantare Chorus and my first year as a Chamber Singer.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing piano, guitar, and banjo, singing, cooking, concert-going, reading, and reality television (guilty!). My husband is also a Howard County teacher and we stay busy working on home improvement projects in Catonsville (Music City), Maryland.
